I have a bit more time now to put in another blog post. When I was in the military and I guess even now in a forward deployed area usually people stay away from discussing politics, to avoid disagreements and fights. Even with this general unwritten don't talk about politics, the election for president is big news so people spew their opinions a bit more. And with social media its get is easier to share these thoughts.
I'm gonna generalize a little bit now. I grew up in San Francisco, so I have a few liberal friends. I also joined the Marines and have conservative friends. So pretty much democrats and republicans.( not everyone fits this generalization, I'm just keeping it simple) So before and after the election I get opinions from both sides.
It is very interesting to see other peoples point of views during this election. Pretty diverse ideas and different upbringings and mindsets. I'm gonna give out two examples of stuff I saw on my feed after the election.
"OBAMA!! :D 4 more years. It's going to be all right, America. :)"
and
"This just in, Obama won due to polling places being stationed next to unemployment lines. Romney supporters couldn't find them because they actually have jobs." (/sarcasm...I'm adding this note just in case you don't understand this. )
Polar opposites. Completely different views.
